In the middle of bustling Marylebone, you have giant palm trees and an impressive eight storey glass atrium roof, bringing the outside in. The Landmark’s Champagne Easter themed tea is served in this spectacular setting, known as their Winter Garden restaurant. Guests can expect playful and beautifully presented pastries whilst chocoholics can indulge their sweet tooth with the alternative Chocolate Afternoon Tea option. Warm freshly baked buttery scones served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserves are a staple that are sure to please afternoon-tea connoisseurs.

The Sanderson’s Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea is a one of London’s most popular afternoon tea options, well-known for its inventive, sculptural pastries with an Alice in Wonderland twist. This year the hotel invites you to enjoy all the splendour of menus hidden inside vintage books, teapots adorned with kings and queens, sandwich plates decorated with birdcages, carousels and ticking clocks upon which rest savoury, specialty sandwiches. If the weather is sunny opt to be served on the hotel’s sun-splashed outdoor terrace.

This season, sketch is Introducing a French take on British traditions, with a surprise at every corner. The new menu is presented in a keepsake booklet that is filled with whimsical illustrations and anecdotes, bringing the story behind Afternoon Tea at sketch to life. The Tea Master for example has scoured the globe to source and a selection of exquisite teas, whilst the Caviar Man will serve his version of Egg and Soldiers with quail’s egg and a spoonful of Oscietre caviar. A string trio or pianist will accompany each sitting with pieces chosen especially for the Gallery, sketch’s artist-conceived restaurant.

Emmeline’s is filled with fanciful floral creations with love seats, sculptures and mood lighting. The stylist décor and the lenticular print of Alice in Wonderland in St James’s Park make for an ideal setting for afternoon tea at this time of year. A tea sommelier will be on hand to ensure your Harney & Sons tea is prepared just as you like it, and if you’ve opted for Champagne, your glass will never be empty. Each and every child will be given an Easter goodie to take home, and on 2pm Sunday there will be an Egg Hunt in the hotel for all the little ones to take part in.
