Val d’Isère is playing host to a different type of snow sport later this month, welcoming the return of the annual Winter Golf Tournament to the Alps.
The beautiful Manchet Valley golf course in Val d’Isère will be the site of the action for four days of putting, chipping, and teeing off from the glorious, snowy Alps – though there’s also plenty to look forward to off the course. Opening events will include a snow street golf session on the Olympique Avenue featuring seven holes through the shops and bars of Val d’Isère, welcome cocktails at the first hole, hot wine and a concert at the fourth hole, and many other treats before dinner at La Taverne D’Alsace.
Other entertainments include a BMW X-Drive Tour test, followed by a mini tournament in the golf simulator at the Centre Aquasportif and a BMW hosted dinner, while day 3 will take competitors to the heights of the infamous Folie Douce for lunch and dinner and prize giving ceremony at the Avenue Lodge, followed by dinner at the Tsanteleina
Professional athletes taking part in this year’s tournament include karate world champion, Christophe Pinna, Number one French pro-Golfer, Raphael Jacquelin and snowboard world cup winner, Sylvain and Dufour.
