Emotions ran high at last year’s Monte-Carlo Country Club competition as top seed Djokovic defeated eight-time defending champion Rafael Nadal, breaking the Spaniard’s impressive 46-match winning streak.
This April as the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters celebrates its 108th year, the titans of tennis – number one ranked Nadal and number two Djokovic – are expected to go head to head again in the first of the three ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments played on clay.
Djokovic, the first player to beat Nadal three times in a clay-court final, has now won 14 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles and 37th trophies overall. He has also won every ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title barring the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.
The Monaco tournament is a player and fan favourite due to its magnificent location and long tradition of champions. Limited hospitality packages for the event include a gourmet lunch prepared by the official tournament caterer Lenôtre at Le Tiebreak or Le Village, a first category seat on the centre court, a VIP Village pass, aperitif, tournament souvenir and official programme.
