Roja Dove launches latest ‘H’ fragrance exclusive to Harrods

British Master Perfumer Roja Dove has returned to Harrods, the ‘spiritual home’ of his eponymous brand to launch ‘H’, an exclusive new Roja fragrance.

To create ‘H’, Roja has blended the rarest, richest, and most exotic materials available; oils of Gurjum, Cypriol, and Valerian combine to create a warm depth to a rich blend of Patchouli and Aoud Wood, which he has counter-pointed with the freshness of Bergamot, and Geranium enlivened with Nutmeg and Oregano. Two of the most legendary materials in the perfumer’s palette, Jasmine de Grasse and Rose de Mai from the town of Grasse in the South of France, both more costly than gold bullion, make up the creation’s heart, held captive in a base of Labdanum, Birch, and ultra-soft Benzoin.

As with each and every fragrance Roja creates, he has been obsessed about ‘H’. He says: “H’ is the result of an invitation from the world’s most iconic department store. Like each and every fragrance I create, ‘H’ becomes a standard bearer for British excellence around the world, and hopefully an outstanding example of this country’s creative prowess.”

‘H’ is presented in a handmade box that features the custom Harrods green livery and the iconic Harrods ‘H’ monogram embossed in gold foil. The monogram is used for the first time in its history to denote, not only the store itself, but also the name of this unique and exclusive new fragrance whilst also referring to the unisex nature of the scent – for ‘Him’, for ‘Her’. The glass bottle is silk-screened and embellished with a plaque dipped in gold, enamelled in Harrods green. The bottle’s cap, the leitmotif of Roja Parfums, is hand set with fourteen green Swarovski crystals exclusively produced for the Perfumery House.

‘H’ The Exclusive Aoud for Harrods by Roja Parfums 50ml is available now at Harrods priced at £395.
