Insignia Loves: Vertu’s London Symphony Orchestra Ringtone
By

We love the look and feel of Constellation – the latest Vertu model to be released –  swathed in high quality coloured calf leather and protected by a saphire screen so resistant to scratching that it will remain virtually flawless throughout the life of the phone.

We’re also wowed by it technically – Vertu offers everything for the modern smartphone user: Android™ 4.2 Jelly Bean, Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ dual core 1.7 GHz CPU, 32GB of internal memory, 13MP rear-facing camera with full HD video (1080p), a front-facing Skype™ compliant 1.3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.

What really is music to our ears though are Vertu’s extraordinary ring tones. Constellation features an exclusive portfolio of melodic ringtones especially composed for Vertu and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. The portfolio now also includes a set of new tones featuring English bird song.

Over the years Vertu has worked with various classical composers, including Dario Marianelli and Ben Walllfish, composing music that was then played by the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO). This music was then adapted for use as ringtones, alerts and alarms with a brief to keep the sounds ‘very English’. Each phone contains a mixture of their work and the collection evolves from model to model.
