St Moritz Gourmet Festival, 27-31 January 2014

This year’s St Moritz Gourmet Festival takes place from 27 to 31 January, promising to transform the Upper Engadin into a foodie’s paradise.

The St Moritz Gourmet Festival 2014 welcomes eight international master chefs from Germany, France, Japan, the Netherlands and the US who will all sample their culinary skills at a Grand Opening in the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains.

The evening will set-up five days of gastronomic indulgence across a host of diverse culinary events including: Gourmet Diners and Safaris, a Kitchen Party at the King’s Club in Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, the aperitif themed Kitchen Whispers and Sake Aperitif, the elegant Fascination Champagne evening in the regal Suvretta House, World-Class Wine at Hotel Waldhaus, Wine & Cheese Celebration with master cheese-maker Maître Antony, The Tasting a fresh market produce discovery tour and the visitor favourite Chocolate Cult taking place this year in the Grand Hall of the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel.

A new addition to this exhaustive list for 2014 is the Corviglia Caviar & Seafood Blizzard. Hosted at an altitude of 2,486 metres above sea level, this breath-taking Alpine setting is perfect to enjoy caviar and mouth-watering seafood dishes prepared by master chef Reto Mathis.

The festival concludes with another new instalment for 2014, an awards ceremony, celebratory party and gala night culmination at the VIP tent located on the frozen waters of St Moritz Lake. With a multi-course menu from all eight guest master chefs, fine wines, Champagne and live music, the evening will be a fitting crown to an unrivalled culinary experience.
