Anna Wintour, Alexa Chung and Lily Collins joined over 1000 of the world’s fashion elite to watch the annual December spectacular, which saw guests take their seats inside drive-in style retro cars to first watch a preview of Karl’s new Coco Chanel film The Return, before the runway show.

Dree Hemmingway, Erin Wasson and Georgia May Jagger walked the catwalk wearing a combination of cowboy inspired denim, fringing, billowing shirts and skirts all with a nod to 70’s design.

Kristen Stewart will front the Chanel Paris-Dallas Metiers d’Art (Pre-Fall) 2014 collection and appear in an advertising campaign directed by Karl Lagerfeld himself.
