London’s New Year’s Day Parade is one of the great street spectaculars and the biggest event of its kind in the world.

New Year's Day London Parade

The two-mile show features up to 10,000 performers from around across the globe bringing some American style razzmatazz to London’s iconic West End district including Parliament Square, The Mall, Pall Mall, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly.

This year’s celebrations revive London’s swinging 60’s era with a focus on the great British bands that propelled the international music scene forward and the cutting edge fashion that made Carnaby Street world famous.

The event attracts half a million street spectators and tens of millions more televised audiences internationally. For a more comfortable experience of the parade, the event organisers have expanded their Grand Stand tiers to seven stages dotted along the parade route. These VIP tickets include comfortable seating, unrestricted views, official event programme and to fend off the chilly New Year weather a blanket, hand warmer and unlimited coffee.

To enhance the experience further, Insignia recommends coupling the event with afternoon tea at The Ritz, the iconic hotel where the parade begins at 11.45 am, a unique shopping experience in the celebrated nearby department store Fortnum and Mason or a table at Terrace Grill and Bar, the restaurant in Le Meridien hotel that overlooks Piccadilly providing the option with the best views and most comfort.
