Abu Dhabi Art draws upon exhibitors from international contemporary art and design galleries such as ARTSPACE, Hauser & Wirth and the Kashya Hildebrand Gallery to showcase a wide spectrum of quality artworks from small ornaments to large scale sculptures including furniture, product design, jewellery, wearable art and traditional handicrafts.

This year’s edition highlights architecture through a commissioned structure by Shigeru Ban and a panel of respected artists, architects and museum and gallery representatives assembled to explore the affinity between art and architecture. The panel includes the President of the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Alain Seban, who was recently voted as one of the most important people in art.

This year introduces the Abu Dhabi Art UAE Designer Programme and a new section Artists’ Waves curated by Fabrice Bousteau as well as continuing to support emerging UAE artists and designers with the Wings Project.

Elsewhere, the exhibition also includes the boutique retail store Artyfact selling limited edition items and Wings Project merchandise, the TASCHEN bookstore featuring a wide range of art, architecture and design titles and workshops with UAE designer Sara Alaidarous, French designer Francois Clerc and artisans of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
