Great House at Necker Island open for business

If you’re dreaming of a desert island getaway, then you could be in luck, because the Great House on Sir Richard Branson’s prestigious Necker Island is now complete and ready to accept its first guests. The jewel in the Necker crown, the new Great House has been remodelled on the original design, which was famously lost due to fire in 2011, caused by a lightening strike.

Offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean, the Atlantic and neighbouring islands, each of the eight guest rooms within the house has a balcony, king-sized beds and an en-suite bathroom. The upper level of the house features a master suite, which is 1,500 square feet and has been designed for panoramic views from virtually every angle and includes a two-person Jacuzzi. The Great House can accommodate up to 30 adults plus children at a nightly rate of £37,6000.

Famous past guests of Necker Island include the late Princess Diana, Prince William and Harry, Kate Winslet, David Hasselhoff, Ronnie Wood, Natalie Imbruglia and Harry Styles.

Sir Richard Branson said of the completed two year renovation: “Necker Island has been my home for more than 30 years and for me it is the most beautiful place in the world. The brand new Great House is the heart of the island and I’m thrilled with the results. This signals a new dawn for Necker, which I am very excited about.”
