Pritzker prize-winning architect Dame Zaha Hadid, the creative genius behind the Aquatic Centre at London’s Olympic Park, has unveiled a stunning new superyacht concept for shipbuilders Blohm+Voss .
Hadid’s signature style places convention on the side-lines and her latest creation is no exception. The collaborative design process balanced Hadid’s unique vision with the technical expertise of Blohm+Voss, to produce a blueprint for an aesthetically amazing yet, functional craft.
The 128m master prototype, revealed recently in London, is at the helm of a concept family entitled Unique Circle Yachts that includes five smaller 90m models. The 90m JAZZ yacht is the first to be technically specified and detailed by the naval architects at Blohm+Voss and a further four 90m yachts have been designed to fulfill their designated owners’ specific requirements – only going from the page to construction upon the placement of an order where interior design and furnishing is entirely bespoke.
Blohm+Voss are the builders of Roman Ambramovich’s ‘Eclipse’, the world’s largest yacht until it was itself eclipsed by the mammoth 180m ‘Azzam’ earlier this year. Other Blohm+Voss superyacht projects include “A” designed by Philippe Starck, the “Mayan Queen IV” and “Palladium”.
If you want to be seen at the helm of a craft that propels truly eye-catching superyacht design into the future and have a few hundred million to burn, look no further.
