From November to December, ladies that lunch at stylish Mayfair restaurant 34 will be gifted a limited-edition map that reveals fashion artist David Downton’s favourite fashion spots.
Set to be a collectable, the map combines exquisite cuisine, invaluable fashion insight and stylish art. The map includes an original Downton portrait commissioned especially for 34 and highlights renowned luxury brands such as Claridges, Christian Louboutin and Ladurée, alongside hidden gems including Fashion Illustration Gallery, G Heywood Hill Ltd for antiquarian books and Grays Antique Market & Grays in the Mews.
Downton has recently been established as Vanity Fair’s celebrity portrait artist and artist in residence at Claridges London, which hosted an exhibition of portraits of some of fashion’s most well-known faces including Paul Smith, Diane von Fürstenberg and Alber Elbaz.
Located just off Grosvenor Square, 34 is part of the Caprice Holdings group whose portfolio of restaurants includes Daphne’s, Scott’s and The Ivy and have always had a close association with the contemporary art world, featuring works by leading British artists including Damien Hirst, Polly Morgan and Tracey Emin, with many pieces especially created for the restaurants.
