Seasonal Suppers for The Glorious Twelfth

Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa have a fantastic new Cookery School and this Autumn they are offering guests the chance to learn how to cook game at their Seasonal Suppers, which take place on 15th October, 5th November and 9th December 2013.

Autumn is one of the most generous and decadent seasons, typified by the name given to the beginning of the game season ‘The Glorious Twelfth’. At Lucknam Park’s Cookery School guests will learn how to cook different and delicious recipes with various types of game and seasonal winter vegetables, as well as learning how to make delicious hearty winter stews such as the famous Welsh ‘Cawl’, to steak, onion and smoked bacon pie. Guests will also be shown all the tricks to get those great dishes on the table with minimum fuss, plus this course also features as a half day option in December aimed at feeding festive guests.

Whilst staying at Lucknam you can also enjoy walks in the woodland in Lucknam’s 500 acre estate, spend afternoons in front of a roaring log fire in the library – with a fabulous choice of books and board games – followed by a pampering treatment in the world class spa, a dip in the indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool, or balance the shortening days with a session in the Light Therapy suite in Lucknam’s new Wellbeing House. The pleasure of a candlelit dinner in the Michelin starred Park Restaurant with home grown seasonal produce from Lucknam’s Kitchen Garden is a wonderful way to top the day off.
