Island, curated by Sarina Basta, is a visual interpretation of the novel of the same title by celebrated English author Aldous Huxley, a title often regarded as the utopian counterpart to Huxley’s most famous work A Brave New World, which was written some thirty years earlier.

Constructed as multiple, unfolding chapters of the book, Island features works from over 40 talented international artists including Ai Wei Wei, Sergej Jensen and Thomas Demand.

The exhibition, which runs from 11 October to 8 December, is a celebration of the psychedelic ‘60s – revealing a society where Western science coexists in perfect symbiosis with eastern philosophy and humanism, to create paradise on earth.
