The resort is set on 15 acres along the south western beachfront of Mokapu Beach. It will house just under 300 rooms and suites, including seven luxurious villa with infinity pools. There will be numerous cascading infinity pools with views out to sea and plenty of cabanas, as well as a spa and the option to take part in numerous water sports activities. For those after some tasty local cuisine, the signature restaurant will serve up Japanese influenced Hawaiian dishes, while the other restaurant, two poolside bars and a 24-hour Hawaiian food market ensure you’ll never go hungry.

Designed by the Rockwell Group, the resort is proud to be championing sustainability on the island, as it will be Hawaii’s first LEED® certified resort. Special attention has been given not only to the way in which it is built and the materials used, but also with a view to the future, aiming to reduce energy, water consumption, waste and emissions. The interiors will fuse traditional Hawaiian design with more modern elements of the local culture, reflecting fashion, music and art.

The resort is now taking bookings from 15 August 2013 onwards. For more information on Andaz Maui at Wailea visit the website.
