Connected to land by a narrow strip of beach, the former village of Sveti Stefan was leased by Amanresort Group in 2007, and the first stage of renovations were completed in 2009. After being named Hotel of the Year in the 2010 Gallivanter’s Guide, work continued behind the scenes to complete the restoration of the rest of the buildings, rooms and suites, allowing the resort to open new areas and extend its current offering.

Aman Sveti Stefan now comprises 50 rooms, cottages and suites, each with their own style and views either out to sea, over the rooftops or into courtyards. There are also eight super luxe suites at Villa Milocer, formally the village’s plush hotel located within the resort. The new extension sees the opening of Aman restaurant, serving up local and European cuisine while the new bar offers refreshments all day. Head to the Upper Terrace to enjoy sweeping views, or sample food drink from the numerous other dining options available, including The Taverna and beach cafe style Olive Tree.

For those looking to be pampered, there are six spa cottages spread around the island, each offering a varied selection of treatments and rituals. Meanwhile the opening of the new swimming pool under the watchful gaze of the painstakingly restored Church of Alexander Nevski and a gym are also available for guests to use.
