Switzerland’s revered Gstaad Palace is preparing to celebrate its centenary as the luxury destination hotel in the Alps.

The hotel, which opened on 8 December 1913, has a whole host of activities planned from investing in the local woodland by planting 1,200 trees and bushes in early April, to producing a book examining the history of Gstaad Palace, and opening the door to the local community, offering food, drink and entertainment to mark the anniversary weekend. There will also be an exclusive cocktail reception for regular guests of the hotel and associated chalets.

Andrea Scherz, owner and General Manager of Gstaad Palace, said: “I look forward to this very special year for our long-standing property.”

Gstaad Palace is likely to release details of more celebratory events over the next few months. For more information, call +41 33 748 50 00, email or visit the website.
