American singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey brings her distinctive brand of cinematic pop to Paris for two nights in April as part of her European Tour promoting her third studio album, Born To Die.

Lana Del Rey

A graduate of metaphysics, which she studied from a desire to understand how technology can bring humans closer to God, she grew up in America where she was taught how to play guitar by her uncle and began singing in clubs around New York under various pseudonyms during her teens.

After uploading a video to YouTube she was quickly scouted by the label Stanger Records and released her self-titled debut album in 2010. The song she sang in the video went on to become a huge global hit ‘Video Games’. Since then the singer has enjoyed a meteoric rise in fame, status and international recognition having been showered with awards and accolades.

Already this year she has been voted Hottest Woman In Music by British music magazine NME and she picked up a BRIT Award for Best International Female Solo Artist.

Perhaps what makes her so endearing is her unique sound that media moguls have struggled to pigeonhole. The singer has referred to her own music as ‘Hollywood Sadcore’ and ‘Hawaiian Glam Metal’. Whatever genre you want to file her under, there is no doubting that Lana Del Rey is an enigmatic talent who should not be missed.
