Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg

Once home to Princess Lobanova-Rostovskaya, the historic building has been painstakingly and authentically pulled into the 21st century, with 151 rooms and 26 suites, all delicately decorated with light and airy interiors.

Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul

Challenging Istanbul’s iconic Dolmabahce Palace as the tallest building along the coast of the bustling Bosphorus, this is the first hotel by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts to open in Turkey.

The 13 storey building will home 186 guest rooms and 17 suites, each tastefully decorated with subtle Asian influences. Six of the building’s floors will be under ground in a bid to protect the façade of the building, but that doesn’t stop it being the second tallest along the coast.

Located in Besiktas, the shopping and transport hub of the city, the hotel is a stone’s throw from the financial area and the Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Bringing its signature style and hospitality to the British capital, the high-up hotel will open with 185 guestrooms – among the largest in the city at 452 square feet – and 17 suites with private butler service. There will also be a selection of fine restaurants, bars and event facilities, not to mention fitness and recreation options, including an indoor infinity pool.
