Exclusive: Chivas 18 by Pininfarina

Bringing together two of the biggest names in their respective industries, this new and exclusive collaboration blends fine Scottish whisky and heritage with expert luxury Italian style.

Crafted in three stages, the trio of creations include two limited edition display cases and the crowning glory, the Chivas 18 Mascherone by Pininfarina display unit.

Lying at the heart of the collection is the theme of ‘the drop’, dictating the subtle shape of each piece. In this first edition, the drop is seen in the delicate yet simple shape used for the case.

A metallic finish, representing the metalwork Pininfarina is renowned for, encases a wooden veneer, which symbolises the oak barrels used to age the precious limited edition Chivas 18 sitting comfortably inside.

Sticking with the same theme, the second edition goes a step further with a larger drop shaped case and solid wood inlay. It presents not only the limited edition bottle, but also two glasses designed which take the same form as the case, maintaining the drop philosophy of the design throughout.

Each of the second edition cases are individually numbered highlighting their exclusivity and ensuring authenticity.

The third and final handcrafted piece is the pinnacle of the collaboration inspired by the mascherone – the original wooden frame used to refine the shape of cars during the design process.

It draws on influeces from both brands, continuting with the drop theme in its smooth aerodynamic shape, and wholly Pininafrina as it embodies the design process usually the preserve of luxury cars.

Only five of these collectors’ pieces will be on display worldwide, while individual pieces will be made to order on request.

Chivas 18

The signature blend of Scotland’s rarest single malts is aged for no less than 18 years, and lies at the centre of each design. It is available in a limited edition bottle with Pininfarina proudly displayed on the metalised crest, while its logo is on the bottle neck and capsule.
