A new exhibition celebrating the life and work of Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani will open at London’s historic Somerset House on 29 November, and run for a little over three months.
It will span over 50 years of his career including exclusive photos, images and invitations as well as featuring a series of talks, screenings and events.
The focal point of the exhibition will be the showcase of more than 130 haute couture designs worn by international icons including Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and Gwyneth Paltrow. Visitors will have the opportunity to get an intimate understanding of the master designer at the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum, view his collections by slinking down an exhibition catwalk before gaining insight into the complex craft of couture with a guided explanation of some of his more elaborate and delicate works.
