Explore the luxurious Pambele Beach Lodge, Mozambique

Mozambique, a country whose tourism industry is steadily growing, is a hidden beauty that has it all from cities, forests, mountains and wildlife to platinum beaches and exquisite aqua sea.

Pambele Beach Lodge

The Pambele Beach Lodge, part of the Private Label Worldwide luxury collection, sits within the Vilanculos Wildlife Sanctuary, with the waters of the Bazaruto Marine National Park lapping at its shore and is, as you would expect, quite simply stunning.

The lodge is made up of four private villas which collectively sleep 14 people. The World’s End and Pelican Villas are the largest, set at opposite ends of the property with private beachfronts. Both come with a double bedroom, lounge area, plunge pool and a twin shower, bath and outdoor shower.

Mangrove Villa

The Mangrove Villa overlooks the archipelago with a generous family sized room, while the final villa has a shared entrance for two double bedrooms, Bangwe and Mazarette, each with an extra single bed, private bathrooms and access to the beach. There is a joint lounge area making it a very sociable villa for friends and family to stay together.

Salt Pool and Sea

The large salt pool lives happily at the centre of the lodge, bringing guests together on the loungers under the sun. Pambele’s rich gardens are also open for guests to inspect the various trees, flora and wildlife – keep an eye out for the vervet monkeys!

The Lounge

Located on the isolated San Sebastien Peninsula, the lodge is swamped with things to do. There’s the recently acquired 38ft catamaran, ideal for those wanting to cruise around the Bazaruto archipelago, catch a glimpse of the mighty humpback whales on migration during June – November, or get stuck in to some deep sea fishing. Marlin are especially popular during October – December.

The sanctuary in which the lodge is located is also a huge source of entertainment and education itself. Mangrove swamps, coral reefs, wetlands, coastal dunes and freshwater lakes all coexist in this area, as well as zebras, wildebeests and giraffes. The hotel offers various experience excursions from scuba diving, fishing and bush walks, to visiting the local Queuene community.
