Tom Aikens to host cookery classes at Royal Palm Mauritius

Michelin starred chef Tom Aikens is to team up with the beautiful Indian Ocean resort for a set of cookery classes in March 2013.

Exclusively available to hotel guests, Aikens will showcase his individual style of modern French cooking with a series of master classes. Those who sign up will take part in two morning classes, and receive three four-course dinners prepared by Aikens which promise to put a Mauritian twist on his signature dishes.

Attendees will also get the chance to watch a joint demonstration of how to cook Mauritian cuisine by Aikens and the Royal Palm’s head chef Michel de Matteis. The demonstration, held on the beach, includes champagne and a chance to really get under the skin of what makes Mauritian food, a firey mix of Indian, Creole, Chinese and European, so very special.
