Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, 21-23 September 2012
By

Singapore’s twinkling skyline is the perfect backdrop for this nighttime race around the city’s street circuit.

The challenging track has 23 corners and covers just over 5km. The race itself consists of 61 laps where spectators can expect to see speeds well over 175km/h as the drivers compete around the total distance of just under 310km.

As well as the Grand Prix, Singapore has plenty to offer the discerning visitor. Fashion lovers will find designer heaven on Orchard Road, while those looking to take it easy can escape to the calm of the beautiful Botanic Gardens. For a touch of vintage glamour, stay in Raffles Hotel or The Fullerton Hotel and sip cocktails on the veranda long into the night.
