LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair, London, 21-25 September 2011

Around 90 of the UK’s top art and antiques dealers, alongside a select few European specialists, will converge in leafy Berkeley Square at the heart of Mayfair, London between 21 and 25 September for this year’s LADAPA Art & Antiques Fair.

The appeal of the LAPADA Fair lies in is its diverse array of fine art and exceptional pieces ranging in price from £500 to £500,000 and thus appealing to the first time buyers and the serious collectors.

The fair has a wide variety of disciplines including fine English furniture, jewellery, silver, sculpture, antiquities, numismatics, glass, ceramics and porcelain, old master drawings, rugs and tapestries, textiles, fossils, aeronautical items, prints and illustrations, Art Deco design, medieval works of art and early oak furniture, scientific instruments, portrait miniatures, and objets vertu.

Disciplines represented at the Fair by new exhibitors include the antique cane specialist Geoffrey Breeze, a collection of usual works for the contemporary kunstkammer Finch & Co, fine modern Italian art Imago Art Gallery, neo-classical watercolours and drawings Charles Plante Fine Arts, a wide range of French mantel and carriage clocks Richard Price & Associates and arms and armoury Stratford Armouries Limited.

Some familiar names returning to the Fair include Camburn Fine Art, Ellison Fine Art, John Robertson and Brian H. Watson.

This year’s edition includes a new restaurant in association with Rhubarb, one of London’s best caterers offering light meals and teas. A separate Terrace Champagne Bar is situated under the famous Plane trees.
